I feel glad to be a student of Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Design, known for its quality in design education. It's a fun and serious affair moving from foundation towards the second year. Here, assignments begin from the induction itself to understand our psyche and areas to improve in the forthcoming sessions. Faculty hand-holds in every single situation and encourages one-on-one individually. It's never taxing for me as there is enough excitement on campus to take care of tiresome days. The day I surfed about Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Design, I made my mind on it, though I had other opportunities. My decision was quite realistic based on references, visits to campus, speaking to the faculty, the necessary infrastructure that leads to a conducive learning of any student. The overall environment is really good, friendly faculty, courteous staff and cool ambience to learn. I have been very demanding of tutorship from faculty for knowing more and more and faculty takes it very patiently which allows me to excel in aspirations. To support my learning curve, I have been participating in events held at institute and university level which instils tremendous confidence in me as a person. At the institute, there is a blend for academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Many workshops, seminars, webinars, frequent industry visits, sports, cultural events, talent display, design summits etc have been happening and I am sure, we have a lot on cards. Happy to be a student of Interior Design at Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Design one of the best institutes in interior design in Pune. Here theory and projects & assignments are well balanced, as I expected, the co-curricular activities are given more importance. Study-tours, industry visits, assignments, pep-talks from the industry folks are scheduled to enlighten us on the industry expectations. I knew that I wanted to get into design; now I am more confident and fundamentally strong as faculty focus on us individually. Importance and ability of an Open Mind is something I explore here. Days are fun-filled along with loads of assignments and evenings across the campus are more happening.

I feel excited! I feel creative because at DPU’s school of Design, we share so many ideas with each other and build on it. To contribute, the ambience plays a vital role in boosting my mind and my creative quotient. Calm and soothing atmosphere around, the interiors are so cool that each lounge, classrooms or labs are based on the moods and human psyche. It is one of the best design schools in India. Communication design so far has been an interesting journey throwing light on design elements, principles, colour theory, basic and advanced drawing and I am enjoying it. I thought I have to work hard to make my career. Now I believe I must love and be hungrier towards the learning process to make my career.

The faculty team is an expert in their own domain. They are passionate about nurturing students' design skills and go beyond their limits. The key is hands-on approach to teaching and mentoring every student as per their own learning curve. The institute is really top-notch for its décor, ambience, interior, lights, necessary studios and laboratories, tools and technology to learn animation and graphics. Students get access to everything to make their ideas come to life. Having a limited intake, our faculty is able to concentrate on every single student and assist them to excel in their learning. This reflects on us that it is quality oriented and one of the best design schools in India. I wish to state that every week there is a session with renowned speakers and specialists from the industry enlightening us on the trends and market expectations. This keeps us on our toes to be the best.

I am Sidharth! I am a student of product design at DPU, Pune’s one of the best design schools! From day 1, I was all high and proud that I'm the best here. But after looking at all the artwork and skills of my batchmates, I was a bit overwhelmed, but it also ignited a fire inside me to work harder and truly be the best of my class. I'm truly grateful for the opportunities I've been given to work on myself every day and be just a step closer to my dream of becoming amongst the best designers. I have had fun experimenting with all these new things. I truly feel that this is a safe space for me to truly explore myself and help me on my little journey to become a great designer. To be honest, I was scared to speak out my concerns to the faculty here at first, but whenever I faced any problems, the non-teaching staff. Life here is truly a fun journey together.

Hi! I am a student of communication design at DPU. Winning the title of “Miss Freshers” marked a turning point in my experience. It has not only boosted my confidence but also served as a motivating force to excel in my endeavours. Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Design (DPUSOD) has been curating my skills comprehensively. From academic excellence to personal development, every aspect of my journey has seen significant improvement. I have realised, it is important not only to excel in their respective streams but also remain open to learning new things and gaining diverse experiences. One standout feature of my college experience has been the exposure to real-world scenarios through studio visits. These experiences have provided a practical dimension to our theoretical knowledge, bridging the gap between academics and industry. I am a proud student of DPU School of Design!

I am Shivam, a student at DPU School of Design, Pune. I like the classrooms with textured walls, vibrant colours, hi-tech learning gadgets, learning infrastructure and amenities. For me colours give us different vibes and a fresh look on the wall. For me, cafeteria, hostel life is also important as during my breaks, I will be found in either place. Curriculum is really well designed. I am happy that DPU has a well-crafted curriculum which describes how students will progress every year for the IV years. At DPU school of Design there is a programme outcome planned for every student according to their specialization which I have not seen anywhere while I took my decision to join DPU.

Hi! I am Rishabh Chandra, a student pursuing Graphics Animation & Vfx. It has been a good journey with my learning and extra-curricular activities. To mention about the learning, I wish to emphasize on the workshops and seminars held on campus where we could meet and interact with the industry and professors who gave us inputs in practical manner right from our first semester. Learning became simpler as we could relate and practice what is taught to us and presented by the industry professionals and professors from the leading design institutes. Life here is good because we get to participate in various events and gain exposure. Somewhere, we were pushed to be a part of the events which directly or indirectly developed us to be a better team and leaders too. I understood the importance of time, decision making, problem solving, hard work and continuous participation makes us better and better. I enjoy my days at Dr. D. Y. I wish to thank all my faculty, staff, seniors, peers, who are taking immense efforts on our development.

Going through foundation year, I had an impression that I am learning design or basics of drawing, sketching, maths, formulas etc. When we started with some industry guest lectures, I got to understand the importance of learning the fundamental principles and elements of design, without which we cannot move to the next level. Our HOD invested the time and energy to make us understand that concentration, basics and creativity always go along together to achieve perfection. So “APT”.

Sessions, guest lectures, study tours, assignments and other areas almost everyone may have expressed, but I thought I should let you know that I have changed and become more serious about my aspirations in life.

I also have enough friends to share and gain insights here and that also counts in my learning curve.

I chose Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Design because of its reputation, curriculum and faculty in the field of Graphics, Animation and Vfx (GAVFX). So far, the learning has been more than I thought. Courses, labs, workshops, seminars, internships and study tours to studios have been scheduled every semester as a part of curriculum.

I have been a part of Business club and Drama, which has also developed me on social skills, interpersonal skills, team skills. I have been more disciplined and matured.

While I learnt about GAVFX, I discovered my passion is in Animation. I am proud to be a student of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth | School of Design, Pune.

There is a lot to talk about. Like other institutes, I believe, our institute is one of the best amongst the design schools in Pune.

From studies and sessions to engaging in activities, I have had enough exposure to explore subjects and develop life skills. I already have friends and after coming here, the directory has increased with best buddies. We are moulded and trained to think and perform like a professional in one’s own field. Institute works on our overall development including communication, grooming, corporate etiquettes and mannerism, team skills, behavioural skills, social sensitivity, apart from technical skills and I am sure we will be groomed to aspire for being a successful entrepreneur of tomorrow.

Institute invests in us, but we have to be committed, do the hard work and practice every day to earn a better life.

Hi! I am Soumili Debnath, a student of Communication Design. The moment I realized that I am a future designer, I was serious about my expectations from the institute that I would choose for my B. Des. The design field is quite different from the rest for the ones who are creative thinkers. Improvising every day is to hone and nurture your skills and drive your passion to achieve goals.

At Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Design, the system and mentors believe in a learner-centric approach to create a soothing learning environment. The day's progress is such that the theory is followed by assignments on the floor and in the hostel rooms too. I am learning the importance of time and delivery equations from day one. Hard work becomes fun, when we get passionate about what we do.
